Solid Wood, Signed by ZIEHER
Carved from solid, dark-stained wood and protected by a food-safe coating, this piece features curved, hand-turned lines in the tradition of period furniture. Each piece carries the wood's natural variations — never quite identical from one to the next, like a period piece passed down through generations.
Standing or Lying, No Tools
Unlike the other pieces in the collection, this base doesn't unscrew: it simply stands upright (30.5cm) for a sculptural pedestal look, or lies flat (15cm) for a lower, elongated seat — an instant gesture, with no tools at all, to change register in a heartbeat.
Compatible with the Ombra Series
This piece pairs with ZIEHER's Ombra glass plates: a frosted underside, smooth surface, rounded edges in a graduated black, and a generous 5mm thickness. A dialogue of materials between warm wood and structured glass, designed to visually echo one another.
Care
Clean only with clear water and a little mild soap, using a soft, slightly damp cloth, then dry immediately. Keep this piece away from any heat source and direct sunlight. Never use an abrasive or aggressive cleaning product, which would damage the surface coating, and never submerge the piece in water. Not dishwasher-safe.
