In the kitchen as in the store room, knowing what a container holds without opening it saves time, keeps the cold in and helps good practice. The GN 1/9 size combines with the other gastronorm sizes: nine containers fill a GN 1/1 frame. It fits cold rooms, refrigerators, cabinets and display cases in gastronorm size.
Uses from cold storage to buffet
Daily prep (cut vegetables, sauces, garnishes), storage in the cold room or freezer, dry goods in bulk (flour, rice, cereals, dried fruit), or display on a cold buffet or salad bar: transparency shows off the contents.
Using Tritan correctly
This BPA-free copolyester withstands -40 °C to +90 °C. It can go in the microwave for reheating, but not for long periods. The lids, sold separately, are airtight but not watertight: they protect the contents but are not designed for carrying liquids.
